Small Ukrainians to Learn About Ukrainian Symbols

NEWS

Cadets from the Preventive Activity Faculty of Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs visited the Center of Social Support for Children and Families “Dobre Vdoma” (“Good at Home”) on the Day of the State Emblem of Ukraine to tell children about the peculiarities of state symbols formation.

Future police officers made children acquainted with state symbols, told the history of their appearance and where they are used in daily life.

“Children obtained an opportunity to learn more about our state symbols. We tried to explain in simple and clear words why it is important to know and respect state symbols, learn history and speak Ukrainian”, cadet Yelyzaveta Volkhova told.

The cadet read the author’s poem “Our Trident”.

The final was the most interesting. Children were suggested to draw the Ukrainian symbol in the way they imagined it. Kids were happy to participate in such a contest. Little artists got merchandise and sweet presents for their creative approach and original works.

Each boy and girl made up a part of Ukraine on paper with their tiny palms to leave a trace in the history of their Motherland in future as well.
