More than 150 participants joined the event. These were veterans, military personnel, and representatives of the security forces who competed in adaptive sports.
The competition was organized by the Strongman Federation of Ukraine with the support of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration. Vasyl Virastyuk, the honorary president of the FSU, became the chief judge.
The event was held with the aim of popularizing sports, increasing motivation to engage in physical education, demonstrating the strength, endurance, and speed of the military, and rehabilitating veterans through sports.
The cadets of DSUIA had the opportunity to join the competition and test themselves in the following kinds of sports: rowing on a simulator, bench press, aerobike, and kettlebell jerk. Oleksandr Morhunov, the rector of the university and a police colonel, met with the cadets and wished them good luck and victories.
Artem Sokolyuk took first place among the male cadets in the barbell press, and Yuliya Tolmachova among the girls. Valentyn Slipchenko and Anastasiya Rukosuyeva were the best among the representatives of DSUIA in rowing on the simulator. Oleksandr Yakovlev and Yuliya Tolmachova took first place in the aerobike competition. The participants received commemorative awards and souvenirs.
