On February 29, 2024, a regular meeting of the Academic Council was held at the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs under the chairmanship of Rector Oleksandr Morgunov.
Oleksandr MORGUNOV awarded a Doctor of Philosophy in Law diploma to Margarita MAXIMOVA, a lecturer at the Department of Administrative and Procedural Law and Administrative Activity, and handed diplomas from the “National Academy of Sciences of Higher Education of Ukraine” to university scientists.
Boris LOGVINENKO, Professor at the Department of Administrative and Procedural Law and Administrative Activity, was awarded the first prize diploma in the “Textbooks” category of the “Best Publication of the Year” competition for the work “Disciplinary Statute of the National Police of Ukraine: Scientific and Practical Commentary”.
Iryna DROK, Acting Head of the Educational and Scientific Laboratory for Research on Preventive Activities, and Vita MOROZ, Head of the Educational and Scientific Laboratory for Research on Counteracting Organized Crime and Corruption, were awarded the second prize diploma in the “Educational Guides” category of the “Best Publication of the Year” competition for the work “Organization of Activity of Police District Officers”.
Karina PISOTSKA, Associate Professor at the Department of Administrative and Procedural Law and Administrative Activity, was awarded the second prize diploma in the “Monographs” category of the “Best Publication of the Year” competition for the work “Activity of Juvenile Prevention Units of the National Police of Ukraine: Administrative and Legal Aspect”.
The representative of the DSUIA football team was awarded the Cup of the Rector’s Council, which the university athletes won the day before.
According to the agenda, issues regarding changes to the composition of the Academic Council were considered. Thus, the first vice-rector of DSUIA, Igor MAGDALINA, was introduced as the deputy chairman of the Academic Council.
The issue of approving the Development Strategy of the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs for 2024-2028 in the conditions of martial law and post-war recovery of Ukraine was discussed. Additionally, the appointment of the academic title of Associate Professor to Vadym FURSI from the Department of Traffic Safety and Volodymyr PRYLOVSKY from the Department of Criminalistics and Pre-Medical Training was discussed.
The nomination of Mykola YEFIMOV’s work “Methodology for Investigating Criminal Offenses against Morality: Scientific and Practical Foundations” for the Prize of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Young Scientists was supported, and the textbook “Identification of Rocket and Reactive Weapons of the Russian Federation” by the collective authors was recommended for printing.
