NEWS

Cadets are systematically involved in optional classes to effectively address the challenges of wartime in their professional activities.

For instance, trainees from the Institute of Law and the Training of Specialists for Units of the National Police attended optional classes on criminal law and the investigation of war crimes. They studied the peculiarities of applying criminal procedural legislation in documenting war crimes, as well as problematic issues related to the violation of laws and customs of war.

During the classes, cadets explored various approaches to resolving situations related to war crimes. They analyzed historical examples and examined real court decisions. They attempted to develop their own strategies for preventing such actions in the future.

Overall, knowledge of the norms and rules of warfare will help cadets distinguish between permissible and prohibited actions on the battlefield. This contributes to the development of professional ethics and military discipline, adherence to the norms of international humanitarian law. As future officers, cadets must be prepared to prevent and respond to possible violations of law.
