On the occasion of the 210th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko’s birth, the students of the university held commemorative events.
Students of the Criminal Police Faculty visited Monastyrsky Island, where one of the largest monuments to Shevchenko in the world is located in the center of the park composition. The students laid flowers at the pedestal and observed a moment of silence to honor all those who gave their lives in the struggle for independence and identity.
At the end of the event, the future law enforcement officers solemnly recited verses by the poet, including the world-famous “Testament.” They are confident that the words of Taras Hryhorovych still resonate powerfully and boldly, inspiring more and more Ukrainians to defend their homeland, rights, and freedoms.
