Ukrainian Volunteer Day: Event with Military Personnel Held at DSUIA

In the hall of the university, students and representatives gathered to honor ordinary people whose actions during the war served as examples of courage and bravery.

Military servicemen who voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine were invited to the event. After the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine, everyone present honored the memory of the fallen with a minute of silence.

DSUIA Rector Oleksandr MORGUNOV noted that it was thanks to the volunteers who were among the first to join the defense of the state that Ukraine stood firm in 2014 during the full-scale invasion and continues to stand today. The head of the institution thanked the military for the opportunity to educate cadets and fulfill other tasks.

The attendees were addressed by volunteers – soldier of the 25th Airborne Brigade Stanislav YASHCHENKO and a fighter of the territorial defense brigade of Donetsk region Volodymyr KHANETSKY.

The military emphasized that everyone who chooses the path of defender, law enforcement officer, etc., is already a volunteer. Guests shared their experiences and called on students to study diligently and be ready to defend their homeland.

Cadets, students, and university staff performed patriotic songs, and their creative performances were filled with honor and sincere gratitude.
