The Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs hosted events commemorating its 58th anniversary since its establishment.
After the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine, a minute of silence was observed to honor the memory of fallen law enforcement officers and military personnel. A group of cadets laid flowers at the monument to the defenders of Ukraine.
The leaders of the region and heads of law enforcement agencies congratulated the tutors and cadets of DSUIA.
Sergiy Lysak, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, noted that the diligence and perseverance of cadets, students, and faculty ensure the observance of law and order in the country.
Oleksandr Hanzha, the Chief of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region, emphasized that DSUIA graduates hundreds of officers annually, who join the ranks of the police, affirming the rule of law.
Anatoliy Sugak, the First Deputy Chief of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region, extended his congratulations and wished the cadets and staff of the university success in achieving victory.
Rector Oleksandr Morgunov highlighted the university’s long history, traditions, and significant scientific and practical achievements. He wished the cadets honorably carry the title of cadet and later become police officers.
On the occasion of the university’s anniversary, guests presented certificates, gratitude, and valuable gifts to cadets and staff. Two officers of the higher education institution were awarded special ranks, one rank higher than their current position.
Students and cadets who demonstrated high academic achievement and active participation in university life were also rewarded.
