Custody Records: Binary Session for Master’s Students at DSUIA

Within the framework of studying the discipline “Control and Supervision in Professional Activities” and with the participation of representatives from the practical units of the National Police of Ukraine, a binary session was held at Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs.

The session was conducted by Professor Victoria Rogalska from the Department of Criminal Procedure and Strategic Investigations at DSUIA, with the participation of the head of the monitoring department of the automated recordkeeping of actions with detained persons at the Department of Human Rights Compliance Monitoring of the National Police of Ukraine, Olena Dmytrashchuk, and an inspector for human rights compliance, a recipient-distributor for children at the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region, Oleksiy Sheludchenko.

Higher education students had the opportunity to learn directly from the practical professionals about the “Custody Records” system, its advantages in implementation in the activities of the National Police of Ukraine, the appointment, and the official duties of human rights compliance inspectors.

For reference: Custody Records is a system for recording all actions regarding detained persons, aimed at ensuring guarantees of the basic rights of detainees and preventing unfounded accusations against police officers.
