Students of Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs learned how to neutralize an attacker

A session on “Protection against Attacker’s Strikes” and “Detention and Escort of Offenders” was conducted for students of Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs.

The event was organized by Viktor Shchastlivtsev, an instructor from the Department of Physical Education and Tactical Special Training, with the participation of a senior instructor from the Department of Physical Education and Sports at the National Technical University “Dniprovska Polytechnic,” and a fighter from the volunteer defense formation “Varta Dnipra,” Yevhen Reut.

The practitioner shared with the students how to properly deliver strikes, which pressure points to target to neutralize the aggressor, and in which cases to use technical devices. He provided several examples from his professional and military experience where mastering self-defense techniques proved useful.

Such knowledge will help students safely and quickly apprehend offenders and also protect themselves in case of unexpected attacks.
