With the aim of comprehensively preparing future police officers for performing their duties in wartime conditions, cadets of the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) conduct practical elective classes.
For instance, cadets of the Academic and Scientific Institute of Law and Training of Specialists for Units of the National Police attended a practice-oriented educational session on documenting war crimes. At the training ground, under conditions closely resembling reality, trainees practiced the processes of gathering evidence, recording facts, and drafting relevant protocols. Future law enforcement officers learned to collaborate with experts (medical forensic, ballistic, etc.) directly at the scene.
Additionally, cadets attended an elective on the topic: “Current issues in the detection and investigation of specific types of criminal offenses by the investigative and operational units of the National Police of Ukraine.” Within the framework of the session, they discussed the peculiarities of offenses against life and health, as well as offenses related to corruption.
Cadets were familiarized with the basic algorithms of working with the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations, the sequence of actions for entering basic information, notifying of suspicion, as well as forming an extract from the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations.
