DSUIA Cadets Participate in the Open Championship of Dnipropetrovsk Region in Kettlebell Sport

The competition brought together over 150 athletes from various parts of the region, as well as from neighboring Poltava and Kharkiv regions.

Four teams competed for the team championship – DSUIA, Pokrovska Children and Youth Sports School, Sofiivska Children and Youth Sports School, and the team of the sports club “Camelot.” Representatives of the university became bronze medalists.

In particular, the prize-winning places for DSUIA were brought by the girls: the coach of the team, Viktoria Kovalyuk, became first twice in the weight category of 63 kg. She performed 123 lifts in the snatch and 77 lifts in the jerk. Cadet Anna Molodetska took third place in the 68 kg category – her result was 96 lifts in the snatch.

Among the cadets (jerk, 24 kg kettlebell), we have the following achievements:

1st place – Oleksandr Aslamov (SS-142, 75 lifts, weight category 95 kg);

2nd place – Yaroslav Kuzmin (CP-141, 55 lifts, weight category 85 kg); Osman Safarov (KP-233, 74 lifts, weight category 95 kg);

3rd place – Artem Divlyash (CP-232, 65 lifts, weight category 73 kg); Mykita Bychykhin (CP-233, 84 lifts, weight category 78); Dmytro Lopatin (PI-345, 65 lifts, weight category 95+ kg);

4th place – Maksym Vedmedenko (PI-243, 20 lifts, weight category 63 kg);

5th place – Vladyslav Konoshko (CP-333, 9 lifts, weight category 68 kg); Rostyslav Khomenko (CP-334, 14 lifts, weight category 78 kg).

We also have successes among boys in the snatch with a 24 kg kettlebell:

2nd place – Vladyslav Konoshko (CP-333, 41 lifts, weight category 68 kg);

3rd place – Rostyslav Khomenko (CP-334, 48 lifts, weight category 78 kg).

An excellent result in the snatch was also shown by the senior lecturer of the Department of Special Physical Training, Volodymyr Rogalsky. He performed 60 lifts, which earned him the 5th place in the tournament table.
