The focus is on conducting the examination of the scene of the incident using innovative recording tools with the use of unmanned aerial systems.
The optional session was conducted with the involvement of experienced practical employees from the forensic support department of the main department of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Mykola Shmalko and Roman Malakhov.
During the event, the peculiarities of procedural documentation of the examination protocol of the scene of the incident, compilation of photo tables using 3D modeling, and other aspects were discussed.
Cadets were told and visually demonstrated how to use unmanned aerial vehicles, how to take photos correctly with their assistance, and explained the effectiveness of using unmanned aerial vehicles in wartime conditions. In particular, it was noted that thanks to unmanned aerial vehicles, the investigator or other specialist does not have to be directly at the scene of the incident but can be at a safe distance.
The pilot (operator) of the unmanned aerial vehicle complex of the 1st class, Police Captain Vadym Kolomiets, demonstrated the tactics of using the unmanned aerial vehicle complex, focusing on the possibilities of reconnaissance and preliminary examination of the rocket debris landing site in civilian buildings using forensic methods of orienting, surveying, nodal, and detailed video recording, as well as thermal imaging equipment.
