The final training within the framework of the regional educational program on preventing and combating domestic and gender-based violence for specialists of the territorial communities of the Dnipropetrovsk region took place at the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA).
The training was conducted by Associate Professor of the Department of Administrative Law, Process, and Administrative Activity, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor, Police Major Roman OPATSKYI. The event was moderated by the Assistant to the Rector of the State University on Gender Issues, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine Larisa NALYVAIKO.
The theme of the training was bullying in the school environment. Ukraine, as an independent, democratic, and rule-of-law state, has provided for the protection of children from all forms of violence, including bullying, through the ratification of international treaties and the adoption of relevant legal acts in this area. However, experts authorized by law and the state must work according to a certain algorithm to protect children, particularly from severe treatment in schools. Such algorithms were discussed during the training.
All trainers and experts participated in the final training, including: Senior Inspector of the Juvenile Prevention Department of the Preventive Activity Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Police Major Natalia YAZAN; Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Procedure and Strategic Investigations, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor, Police Major Alina HARKUSHA; Head of the Psychological Support Department Sergiy VYSHNEVSKY; Associate Professor of the Department of Administrative Law, Process, and Administrative Activity, Doctor of Philosophy in Law, Senior Police Lieutenant Karina PISOTSKA; Acting Head of the Research Laboratory of Preventive Activity Problems, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor, Police Major Irina DROK; Senior Researcher of the Research Laboratory of Legal Status Issues of Internally Displaced Persons and Gender Equality, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Tsagik OGANISYAN; Head of the Scientific-Editorial Department, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Yevheniya KOVALENKO-MARCHENKOVA; Lecturer of the Department of Administrative Law, Process, and Administrative Activity, Senior Police Lieutenant Kristina DEREVYANKO; Specialist of the Psychological Support Department Taіsa PIDHORNA, and others.
At the end of the event, conclusions were drawn by the moderator and trainers, the results of the training were summarized, and the main priorities in the activities of specialists regarding the prevention and counteraction of domestic and gender-based violence in conditions of martial law were determined. Participants expressed sincere gratitude to the organizers and trainers for the substantive and useful training program and knowledge that will help them in their future professional activities. In total, about 200 participants underwent training during the month.
