The police of Dnipro acquainted the cadets of DSUIA with the “Custody Records” system

NEWS

An introductory meeting was held for the students at the Police Department No. 7 of the Dnipro District Police Department with the participation of representatives from the Human Rights Compliance Sector and the personnel management department of the region.

The “Custody Records” system automates the work of police officers and eliminates human factors as a cause of any violence. The camera records every move of the detainee – on one hand, the system ensures the rights of detainees are respected, and on the other hand, it prevents unfounded accusations against police officers of unlawful actions. Moreover, the system analyzes whether medical assistance is needed for the detainee. “Custody Records” provides continuous video recording to avoid blind spots, as well as creates a special database for accounting for actions regarding detainees. According to practicing experts, the implemented “Custody Records” system works to protect both detainees and law enforcement officers.
