About a hundred higher education students, together with representatives of Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, participated in a large-scale event for Donor Day.
Donor Days are traditional events for the Mechnikov Regional Clinical Hospital. Each time during such events, many people come forward to save the lives of those in need of blood transfusions or its components. The donor movement is one of the most developed areas of volunteering at DSUIA: students, academic staff, and officers are familiar with the donation procedure.
Each donor gives 400 ml of blood at a time. According to medical professionals, this is the volume that can be safely given without risking one’s health. Cadets believe that donation is the smallest but very significant contribution to Victory because wounded defenders need blood for surgeries and transfusions every day.
