At the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA), another round of training sessions in tennis, boxing, and arm wrestling for military veterans has taken place.
This week, candidates for the title of Master of Sports of the Dnipropetrovsk Region Table Tennis Federation and Vasyl Koval, who is the Champion of Ukraine in table tennis, participated in the veterans’ tennis training.

To help veterans acquire boxing skills, instructors from the DSUIA’s Department of Special Physical Training provided guidance. The veterans honed their punches, worked on breathing techniques, and improved their endurance. For many of them, this sport was a key part of their lives before they sustained injuries, and now they have the opportunity to resume training.

A new type of sports competition was introduced to the training sessions this week – arm wrestling. Veterans eagerly joined the new discipline and tested their strength while training with university instructors.

Sports training for military veterans is one of the key areas of social rehabilitation for wounded defenders.
