Firearms Training for Military Personnel at DSUIA

NEWS, Sport for military veterans

Weekly sessions are conducted by instructors from the Department of Firearms Training at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.

For over six months, DSUIA has been systematically conducting rehabilitation activities, taking a comprehensive approach to training and social adaptation. They offer military veterans activities such as table tennis, martial arts, arm wrestling, chess, and more.

This time, in the shooting range, participants studied types and varieties of cartridges, the purpose, combat properties, and structure of pistols, and specifically those pistols in service with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. An essential part of the session included a safety briefing on handling weapons.

Participants examined the material components of the FORT-12R pistol and practiced accurate shooting at targets. As part of exercise No. 11 of the pistol shooting course, they were required to make three shots at a stationary target without time restrictions.

DSUIA firearms training instructor Maksym KALEMAN analyzed the execution of shooting exercises and noted the participants’ high persistence and determination during training.

The firearms training was conducted as part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Education, Science, and Sports Department’s “Friendly Support” project. #FriendlySupport
