The events took place at the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs. The lyceum students were welcomed by representatives of the National Police of Ukraine, security agencies, regional authorities, and the university.
After performing the State Anthem of Ukraine and honoring the memory of the fallen with a moment of silence, the Deputy Head of the National Police – Chief of the Personnel Department, Police General of the Third Rank Serhiy KOBETS addressed all those present. He congratulated the students and noted that the initiation day into the lyceum is the beginning of a new life and new opportunities. Serhiy KOBETS wished them to always remain honest, resilient, and diligent in fulfilling their duties.
The Rector of DSUIA, Colonel of Police Oleksandr MORHUNOV emphasized that the lyceum students will not only have to achieve victories in the future but also rebuild the state. He wished the students success in their studies and further self-realization.
The First Deputy Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration – Head of the Regional Military Administration Andriy KULBACH highlighted that the current lyceum students are the first cohort of the new educational institution, and this should be a reason for pride. He wished the students peace, goodness, and the right choice of their future profession.
The Head of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, Major General of Civil Protection Yuriy KORETSKY congratulated those present on the Feast of the Intercession and this important step in their lives, wishing them to honorably bear the title of a lyceum student.
The Deputy Head of the Central Territorial Department of the National Guard of Ukraine, Colonel Oleksandr SHUR expressed confidence that at the lyceum, students will receive a solid educational foundation for choosing a profession that will become their life’s work.
The Deputy Head of the Main Department – Head of the Investigation Department of the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, Police Colonel Inna VLASOVA congratulated the students on their initiation and noted that the discipline of the lyceum would contribute to their success in life and service.
The students solemnly proclaimed the words of the Lyceum Student Oath, taking on the commitment to love their homeland, honor its history, and be worthy of the deeds of those who defend the Motherland.
After this, the vocal ensemble of lyceum students performed the song “There Will Be Peace Over Ukraine.”
