The event was organized by the Department of Special Physical Training at the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA).
An open table tennis tournament was held at DSUIA, with veterans undergoing rehabilitation in the city’s medical institutions participating.
During the tournament’s opening ceremony, DSUIA Vice-Rector Ihor KOVALIOV thanked the veterans for their protection and bravery, which allows cadets to study in peaceful conditions. He also wished them a strong competitive spirit and victory.
About ten veterans participated in the competition. The main referee was Vasyl KOVAL, the Champion of Ukraine in table tennis.
The tournament was conducted in a round-robin format, where each participant played against six opponents. The winner was Ruslan BIELIA.
All participants received commemorative prizes and gifts.
The event was held as part of the “Friendly Support” project, implemented by the Department of Education, Science, and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
