Cadets at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs had the opportunity to interact and train with Ukraine’s defenders.
Meetings with veterans are a vital part of national and patriotic education at DSUIA. This time, a sitting volleyball training session was combined with a discussion with veterans who participate in university sports events. The event was organized by the DSUIA Department of Special Physical Training.
During the gathering, veterans shared their experiences of military service and frontline challenges following the onset of the full-scale invasion. They emphasized the importance of physical fitness for cadets, who will become future law enforcement officers.
Following the discussion, the veterans, cadets, and faculty practiced sitting volleyball—a modified version of the game for those with mobility challenges. The sport enhances reaction speed, agility, endurance, strength, and the ability to navigate a dynamic environment.
The event took place as part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ “Friendly Support” project.
