The Rector of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA), Police Colonel Oleksandr MORGUNOV, held a meeting with representatives of the European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM).
The visit aimed to discuss cooperation between the university and EUAM to enhance the effectiveness of ongoing support and address security challenges, as well as the allocation of resources to strengthen the institution’s material and technical base.
Rector Oleksandr MORGUNOV expressed gratitude to the mission for its productive collaboration, emphasizing that EUAM initiatives significantly contribute to improving the training of personnel for the National Police of Ukraine. He showcased the university’s recent achievements, including advancements in its material and technical infrastructure and updates to the educational process in light of martial law realities.
Edoardo MANFREDINI, Head of the “Europe” Sector at the Civilian Planning and Conduct Capability (CPCC), highlighted Ukraine as a priority for CPCC activities. He introduced the mission’s new concept focused on a systematic approach to training. The model envisions a learning pathway from foundational knowledge to “Training of Trainers” certification, enabling participants to disseminate their expertise further.
Edoardo MANFREDINI also emphasized a new EUAM initiative addressing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) among Ukrainian police officers. As part of this effort, the European Union Advisory Mission, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, has launched the “Blue Sky for Ukraine” project. Its goal is to develop and implement a mental health and psychosocial support system for National Police employees.
At the conclusion of the visit, the guests inspected the university’s material and technical facilities, noting their compliance with modern standards.
