The Department of Tactical and Special Training at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) conducted a training session on pre-medical aid for employees of the Primary Vocational Training Center “Police Academy.”
During the session, Associate Professor, Police Major Stanislava MYRONIUK emphasized critical aspects of providing first aid by individuals with the necessary knowledge and skills.
Participants received detailed instruction on:
The general algorithm for wound packing;
Wound packing techniques for further tourniquet conversion.
Given the high-risk environments law enforcement officers frequently operate in, practical training in these skills is vital. The ability to quickly and correctly administer first aid can be life-saving in emergency situations.
Such training sessions are an integral part of police education, ensuring officers are prepared to handle real-world challenges efficiently. The participants had the opportunity to reinforce their theoretical knowledge through hands-on exercises, significantly enhancing their readiness for service.
