The training was organized by the Department of Special Physical Training at the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.

For over a year, DSUIA has been hosting weekly table tennis training sessions for military veterans. During this time, a regular team of participants has formed, who emphasize the benefits of these sessions not only for their physical health but also for psychological well-being. The training is led by Ukrainian table tennis champion Vasyl Koval.

The university pays special attention to table tennis as an effective means of rehabilitation. This sport improves blood circulation, strengthens the cardiovascular system, enhances vision, coordination, reaction speed, and analytical thinking.

Sports rehabilitation of veterans is a key area of DSUIA’s activity, actively implemented within the framework of the “Friendly Support” project of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Department of Education, Science, and Sports. University specialists emphasize that regular training strengthens the muscular system, boosts overall tone, and helps combat veterans adapt to civilian life.

Thanks to such initiatives, veterans have the opportunity to feel supported, engage in sports, find like-minded peers, and maintain an active life stance.
