Cadets of the Faculty for Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine took part in the “Operational Line” practical shooting championship, organized by the Firearms Training Department of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.
The competition was held using modern multimedia equipment. The event was opened by DSUIA Rector’s Assistant Volodymyr Kovbasa, who congratulated the participants on the national holiday—Constitution Day of Ukraine. He emphasized the importance of adhering to the provisions of the Fundamental Law and wished the cadets to always remain worthy of the police officer’s title.
Two teams, each consisting of five participants, competed in the tournament. Using pistols equipped with laser sensors, the cadets demonstrated their marksmanship by hitting targets on an electronic screen.
According to the competition results, the first place was awarded to team SR-262-24-1, while the second place went to team KP-262-24-1.
In the individual ranking, the winners were:
• Gold — Maksym Klymenko;
• Silver — Oleksandr Husevych;
• Bronze — Roman Shapovalov
All prize-winners received valuable gifts.
Such events contribute to the improvement of practical firearms handling skills, enhance the level of professional training, and foster a responsible attitude among future police officers toward the performance of their official duties.
