Criminal analysis: cycle of classes for DSUIA cadets continues

The class on the topic “Use of OSINT and GEOSINT methods in the investigation regarding persons who encroach on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine” was conducted by the senior inspector for special assignments of the Criminal Analysis Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Donetsk Region, Senior Lieutenant of Police Danyil Buli.

In Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, the cycle of practical classes continues, which are conducted by employees of the Criminal Analysis Departments of the Main Directorates of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Luhansk Regions for 2nd-year cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the NPU.

Cadets familiarized themselves with current issues of the work of analysts and operational workers with open sources of information using OSINT and GEOSINT techniques and methods (intelligence based on the analysis of open sources) under conditions of martial law.

Attention was emphasized on digital tools of criminal analysis, in particular programs and services for searching information by photographs using artificial intelligence technologies.

Conducting classes in such a format helps cadets form the necessary skills for effective work in the field of criminal analysis.
