The trainings are conducted by specialists of the Department of Special Physical Training, combining physical rehabilitation and psychological support with the gradual socialization of participants.

The classes take place in a safe and friendly environment, taking into account the individual capabilities of each veteran.
At the beginning of the training, the athletes perform a warm-up aimed at gradual restoration of mobility, coordination and balance. Next, the basic elements of pickleball are practiced – serving, receiving the ball, moving around the court.
Special attention during the classes is paid not only to physical activity, but also to the psychological state of veterans. The game format helps reduce the level of anxiety, helps restore the feeling of control and confidence in one’s own abilities. Team interaction creates an atmosphere of trust and mutual support, which is an important component of the reintegration process.

Pickleball as an adaptive sport stands out for its accessibility: it does not require complex equipment, has simple rules and is easily adapted to individual needs. Thanks to this, the classes become an effective tool for comprehensive recovery – both physical and mental.

DSUIA emphasizes: adaptive pickleball is more than just sports activity. It is a space where veterans can recover through movement, interaction and support, gradually returning to a full life.
