The event was organized by the Department of Civil Law Disciplines of DSUIA jointly with the Department of Special Physical Training.
Within the framework of the National Week of Barrier-Free, a curator’s hour was held for cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine.
Participation in the event was taken by military veterans who regularly train on the basis of the university, and the Champion of Ukraine in table tennis Vasyl Koval.
The lecturer of the Department of Civil Law Disciplines of DSUIA, Police Captain Maryna Lohinova familiarized the cadets with the provisions of the National Strategy for Creating a Barrier-Free Space in Ukraine. She emphasized the implementation of a comprehensive approach aimed at ensuring equal opportunities for learning, living and professional development in higher education institutions of the MIA system.
Also, the cadets took part in a friendly table tennis tournament with athletes who train on the basis of DSUIA. Vasyl Koval, military veteran Andriy Shevchenko and other athletes conducted a master class for future law enforcement officers, demonstrated the main types of racket grips, ways of serving the ball and other elements of the game.



Such events contribute to the formation in cadets of inclusive thinking, understanding of the principles of barrier-free and readiness to create an accessible and comfortable environment for all citizens in their future professional activities.
