The event was conducted by representatives of the 4th Separate Special Operations Forces Center.

At the beginning of the meeting, DSUIA Vice-Rector, Police Colonel Ihor Kovalov, emphasized the importance of forming thorough knowledge among future law enforcement officers regarding the types of explosive objects, the specifics of their identification, and the algorithm of actions in the event of their discovery.

The event was attended by cadets of the Faculty for Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine and the Faculty for Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine.

During the lecture, military personnel familiarized those present with the types of explosive substances and ammunition used in various types of munitions – from hand grenades and mines to unmanned aerial vehicles and ballistic missiles. Particular attention was paid to their characteristics, principles of operation, as well as external features by which potentially dangerous objects can be identified.

The specialists spoke about modern threats associated with the use of explosive devices, provided practical examples of their detection, and explained the procedure for actions in cases where there is a risk to the life and health of citizens. Particular emphasis was placed on the rules of personal safety and the need for strict adherence to established response algorithms.

Attention was focused on the safe handling of explosive objects in the event of their discovery. Military personnel emphasized that the neutralization of such objects falls exclusively within the authority of specially trained specialists. In the event of discovering a suspicious object, it is necessary to immediately notify the relevant services, not approach it, not move it, and not attempt to independently investigate its origin or contents.

Such meetings contribute to raising the level of awareness among cadet youth regarding modern security challenges, developing skills of responsible behavior in potentially dangerous situations, and enhancing the professional competencies of future law enforcement officers.
