The sports and charity event took place in the Pryberezhnyi Square in Dnipro on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day.
The run brought together athletes, blood donors, members of the public, young people, and all those who support the development of the donor movement. Its main goal was to promote blood donation, foster a culture of mutual assistance, and reinforce the values of a healthy lifestyle.
Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs supported the initiative, as the development of the donor movement is one of the important areas of the institution’s social activity. The administration, academic staff, and cadets are regular participants in blood donation campaigns aimed at replenishing blood supplies and assisting those in need of urgent medical treatment.

Before the start of the run, participants observed a nationwide minute of silence in memory of the defenders of Ukraine and civilians who died as a result of Russian aggression. After the official opening, participants started races of one and three miles.
The route ran along the pedestrian section of Naberezhna Peremohy. DSUIA representatives successfully completed the chosen distances, demonstrating a solid level of physical fitness, endurance, and team spirit. At the end of the event, participants received commemorative awards, gifts, and prizes.

The event was organized by Biopharma, the NGO “Start Dnipro,” and the Department of Humanitarian Policy of the Dnipro City Council. DSUIA’s participation in the “Donor Mile Biopharma 2026” once again confirmed the readiness of the university community to support socially important initiatives and contribute to the development of a culture of blood donation in Ukraine.
