The event was conducted by the Department of Psychological Support of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.
During the training, the students of the Center for Special Professional Training “Police Academy” analyzed their own development and reconsidered the changes that occurred with them during their studies at DSUIA.
The use of metaphorical associative cards in combination with art therapy methods helped to identify hidden worries about future difficulties and find ways to overcome them. Special exercises contributed to the formation of personally significant professional goals, determining potential risks and forming a clear algorithm of actions for their implementation.
The participants mastered cognitive techniques for reducing nervous tension, overcoming uncertainty and anxiety, and preventing emotional burnout. They also received tools for forming positive thinking, strengthening internal motivation and confidence in their own strengths.
The head of the Department of Psychological Support Serhii Vyshnevskyi emphasized that an important component of the professional competencies of future police officers is the skills of providing first psychological aid, self-regulation of the psycho-emotional state and maintaining mental health.
This makes it possible to maintain a high level of self-control when performing official duties. Serhii Vyshnevskyi urged the graduates not only to develop the acquired knowledge and skills, but also to spread them among colleagues, contributing to the cascade principle of learning and increasing the efficiency of NPU units.

The moderator of the training Vladyslav Bidniak noted that the conducted event helped the participants to realize their own trajectory of professional development, learn to work with internal worries, form clear professional goals and master techniques of psychological resilience. The acquired knowledge and skills will become a reliable foundation for effective service, maintaining mental health and supporting colleagues in the difficult conditions of today.
The event was conducted taking into account safety requirements.
