Together with police officers: DSUIA cadets ensure law and order on the streets of Dnipro

NEWS

Cadets of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs regularly take part in events to ensure public safety and law and order on the territory of the city of Dnipro. Such practice allows future law enforcement officers to consolidate theoretical knowledge in real service conditions and acquire the necessary professional experience.

Cadets of the 2nd–3rd years of DSUIA and university officers are involved in joint patrol units together with practical employees of the Dnipro District Police Department No. 1. Future police officers perform official tasks under the guidance of experienced law enforcement officers, which contributes to the effective combination of the educational process with practical training.

Before going out on the routes, all units undergo a mandatory briefing. The personnel are familiarized with the operational situation in the service area, emphasis is placed on personal safety issues, compliance with the law and action algorithms when detecting and stopping offenses.

During patrolling, cadets perform a number of practical tasks. In particular, they check citizens’ documents using the information and communication system “Information Portal of the National Police of Ukraine”, identify persons who are wanted, document administrative offenses, conduct preventive work in places of mass gathering of people and, if necessary, provide primary medical aid.

The participation of cadets in ensuring public safety is of great importance for the safety of the city’s residents. Thanks to the additional presence of law enforcement officers and cadets in public places, preventive work is strengthened, the efficiency of responding to offenses and emergencies increases, and citizens can receive help or advice faster if needed. It is this interaction that contributes to the creation of a safer and more comfortable environment for the residents of Dnipro.
