The event is organized on the basis of the university within the framework of the Ukrainian-Swiss project “Mental Health for Ukraine” MH4U, which supports the implementation of the reform of the mental health care system in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and will last for two days.
The meeting was opened by the assistant to the rector of DSUIA on gender issues, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine Larysa Nalyvaiko. She greeted those present and emphasized the importance of the topic of training first-line specialists within the framework of the implementation of the National Strategy on Barrier-Free Accessibility. In particular, Larysa Nalyvaiko noted that the benefit of such classes lies in the formation of practical skills of timely recognition of signs of psycho-emotional difficulties, provision of basic psychological support and creation of a safe environment for people who need help.
Practical psychologists and pedagogical workers of institutions of secondary education of the city of Kamianske of Dnipropetrovsk region took part in the event. In total, 16 participants joined the training.
The training is aimed at developing skills in recognizing signs of mental disorders, mastering the algorithm of interaction with persons who have signs of mental disorders, familiarization with methods of providing first psychological aid, as well as for the support of the mental health of the participants.

The trainers of the event were the head of the department of psychological support of DSUIA, brainspotter, full member of the National Psychological Association of Ukraine, full member of the Association of Psychologists of Higher School of Ukraine Serhii Vyshnevskyi and art therapist, clinical psychologist, biosuggestive therapist, coach, author of trainings with exercises of CBT, hypnotherapy, art coaching, and methods of See Far CBT Hanna Mhlynets.


During the training, the participants will receive knowledge covering the most common mental health disorders, will master the five-step model of interaction with people with mental health difficulties, etc.
According to the results of the training, all participants will receive the corresponding certificate.
