Military veterans Leonid and Rostyslav successfully completed training at the base of the Barrier-Free Driving School of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs. Driving licenses of category “B” were presented to the graduates by the Vice-Rector of DSUIA, Police Colonel Ihor Kovalov and the Head of the Department of Automobile Training Yevhenii Khokhlov.

Both men have a similar life path: they stood up for the defense of Ukraine after the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the rf. Kharkiv resident Leonid joined the army in 2024. In civilian life, he worked at a service station and had an open category “C1”. During his service in Donetsk region, he was wounded. He learned about the Barrier-Free Driving School of DSUIA while in the hospital. He immediately became interested, passed the practical exam and successfully completed the training. The man says that he already has a car converted for manual control. In the future, he plans to work as a courier, so the car will significantly expand his opportunities.
Dnipro resident Rostyslav has been in the army since 2022. He was wounded in 2025, as a result of which he has disorders of the musculoskeletal system. During treatment, the defender’s wife told him about the Barrier-Free Driving School of DSUIA, after which Rostyslav became interested in the idea of learning. The man notes that he had no previous experience in driving a vehicle. At the base of the driving school, he mastered both theory and practice. Now he plans to purchase a car, since he is currently equipping a country house, so a personal car will become a reliable assistant in everyday life.
Both graduates note the high professionalism of the instructors of the Barrier-Free Driving School of DSUIA and sincerely recommend it to everyone who needs such support.
The Barrier-Free Driving School of DSUIA continues to help veterans, military personnel and persons with disabilities gain new opportunities for self-realization and independence.
