Measures of control over the undergoing of educational practice in the investigation units of the National Police of Ukraine are carried out by the scientific and pedagogical staff of the department of criminal law and criminology of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.
Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of DSUIA, police lieutenant colonel Anton Mariienko carried out a planned on-site inspection of the territorial units of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region, where the applicants of higher education undergo practice in the investigation units.
During the visit, the state of the organization of educational practice, the implementation by the applicants of higher education of individual plans, the keeping of diaries of educational practice and other reporting documentation, the observance of the requirements of the Practice Program, as well as the quality of the implementation of practical tasks provided for by the educational and professional program of training of future police officers were checked.
Special attention was paid to direct communication with the heads of the investigation units, mentors of the cadets and employees of the territorial bodies of the National Police of Ukraine. The issues of professional training of cadets, the level of formation of practical competences, the quality of the implementation of individual plans, as well as the directions of further improvement of cooperation between the university and practical units of the National Police of Ukraine were discussed.
The cadets acquire practical experience regarding the organization of the work of investigation units, the application of the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, the preparation of procedural documents, the registration of materials of criminal proceedings, work with official documentation, etc.
The heads of the investigation units positively assessed the level of theoretical training of the cadets of the faculty of training specialists for criminal police units of the National Police of Ukraine, noting their discipline, responsibility, high level of motivation for service in the police.
Constant control over the undergoing of educational practice is an important element of ensuring the quality of the educational process. This interaction of the university with the practical units of the National Police of Ukraine contributes to the formation of highly qualified specialists capable of effectively performing tasks for ensuring public safety, order and counteraction to criminal offenses.
