At the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, a meeting of the participants of the first team in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in adaptive basketball “Veterans Basket” with representatives of the charitable foundation “Chasha Myloserdia” took place. The meeting took place during the training of the basketball team.
Temporarily performing the duties of the Rector of DSUIA Ihor Mahdalyna introduced the President of the Charitable Foundation “Chasha Myloserdia” Valentyna Pavsiukova to the players.
Valentyna Pavsiukova congratulated the athletes and expressed her support for the veterans, noting that they made a significant contribution while defending Ukraine and continue to inspire with their strength of spirit and striving for victory.
The Executive Director of the charitable foundation “Chasha Myloserdia” Oleksandr Herasymenko also joined the words of gratitude and support. Vice-Rector of DSUIA, Police Colonel Ihor Kovaliov also took part in the meeting.
Thanks to the charitable foundation “Chasha Myloserdia”, the “Veterans Basket” team has sports wheelchairs, which makes it possible to fully train and develop adaptive sport among veterans.
The athletes talked with the representatives of the foundation, discussed urgent issues of veteran sport and conducted another training in adaptive basketball.
Similar measures contribute to the physical and psychological rehabilitation of veterans, the development of adaptive sport in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the strengthening of social support and the further integration of the defenders of Ukraine into active social life.
