The coach of the first team in adaptive basketball in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs “Veterans Basket” Kseniia Afanasieva was awarded the Order of Princess Olga III degree.

The award was presented by the deputy head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Iryna Hrytsai.

The award was granted in accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine for achieving high sports results at the XXV Summer Deaflympic Games 2025 in Tokyo (Japan), demonstrated dedication and will to win, as well as raising the international authority of Ukraine.

Kseniia Afanasieva became a bronze medalist of the Deaflympic Games in basketball. She is also the coach of the team “Veterans’ Basket”, contributing to the development of adaptive sports and physical-sports rehabilitation of veterans.
