With the aim of promoting the smooth adaptation of young people, psychologists of the department of psychological support of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs conducted an introductory training class for first-year students.
The classes covered all study groups of first-year students. The events were organized and conducted by psychologists Hanna Mhlynets and Vladyslav Bidniak, as well as the head of the department of psychological support Serhii Vyshnevskyi.

Psychologists and students discussed in detail the algorithms of mental health support and the formation of psychological resilience (resilience) in difficult conditions. The main attention was paid to such issues of adaptation to the educational process under conditions of war, first psychological aid, practical exercises for the stabilization of the psycho-emotional state, as well as the influence of psychohygiene on personality development.

Also, the first-year students were familiarized with the directions of activity of the department of psychological support and the procedure of interaction with specialists.
“At the first stages of entering the university, it is extremely important to form a responsible attitude to one’s own mental health. Timely seeking help, possession of skills of psycho-emotional self-regulation and the ability to maintain resilience — this is a solid foundation not only for successful study, but also for a safe life under conditions of modern challenges,” emphasized the head of the department of psychological support Serhii Vyshnevskyi.
