The event was conducted on the basis of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Clinical Hospital named after I. Mechnikov.
Participation in the event was taken by representatives of the regional authorities, the person temporarily performing the duties of the rector of DSUIA Ihor Mahdalina, vice-rector of DSUIA, police colonel Ihor Kovalov, assistant to the rector of DSUIA Volodymyr Kovbasa, cadets, students of the Educational and Research Institute of Law and Innovative Education, officers, pedagogical staff, employees of the university.
Ihor Mahdalina noted that representatives of DSUIA are regularly involved in donation, because they understand what an important role donation plays in preserving the lives of the defenders of Ukraine and affected civilians, and strive to make their own contribution to the common cause – support of those who need it.
Representatives of DSUIA approach the issue of blood donation responsibly: they follow a diet for several days and check their state of health. In the absence of medical contraindications, donors donate about 400 milliliters of blood.
The donated blood becomes a chance for life for wounded military personnel and citizens who suffered as a result of the aggression of the russian federation.
In total, this time about 70 representatives of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs joined the Donor Day.
Such events contribute to the formation of an empathic worldview in applicants of higher education of DSUIA, the education of patriotism and awareness of the importance of mutual assistance and responsibility for the life and health of other people.
