On the eve of the Day of the Lawyer, students of the Educational and Research Institute of Law and Innovative Education of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs visited the sponsored institution – the Communal Extracurricular Educational Institution “Educational and Rehabilitation Center “Zorianyi”, where they conducted an event for the pupils.
Students of groups Bd-D8-26-1 and Bd-K9-26-2 took part in the event. For the pupils of grades 8–12, they prepared a lecture-game “Who is a lawyer, a law enforcement officer?” and a thematic game “Stop bullying”.
During the first part of the event, the schoolchildren learned more about the professions of a lawyer and a law enforcement officer, their tasks and significance for society. In the game format, the participants could not only gain new knowledge, but also join the discussion and test their ideas about legal professions.
Special attention was paid to the problem of bullying. With the help of the thematic game, the pupils considered situations related to manifestations of bullying and discussed the importance of mutual respect, responsible behavior and the prevention of violence in the children’s environment.
For the students, such interaction became an opportunity to apply the knowledge gained during their studies in practice, and for the schoolchildren — to learn more about legal professions and the peculiarities of studying in the relevant specialties.
