In the general library of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, a thematic exhibition of legal literature was held on the occasion of the Day of the Lawyer.
Students of the Educational and Research Institute of Law and Innovative Education of DSUIA and listeners of the CSIPT “Academy of Police” of DSUIA took part in the event.
The central place in the event was occupied by the review of educational, scientific and reference literature from various branches of legal knowledge. Special attention was paid to literature that helps to deepen knowledge on issues of human rights, law and order, the activity of law enforcement bodies, counteraction to crime, legal responsibility, ensuring legality and law enforcement activity.
The presented publications cover a wide spectrum of legal topics — from fundamental works on the theory of law to modern textbooks, monographs, scientific research and practical publications. Such a thematic review gives the opportunity for each visitor to find literature in accordance with their own educational, professional or scientific interests.
The participants of the exhibition learned about the latest scientific and practical publications in the sphere of jurisprudence, the peculiarities of working with professional literature and the possibilities of the library fund of the university for preparation for classes and scientific research.
A separate information block of the event was dedicated to electronic resources and scientific-information systems. Library employees familiarized users with the possibilities of searching for legal and scientific information in the electronic catalog, databases and open information resources.
Separately, it was emphasized that the library is ready to provide individual consultations to lecturers, scientists and applicants of education on issues of searching for scientific information, working with electronic resources and scientometric databases.
Such events contribute to the deepening of the professional knowledge of applicants of higher education, the formation of a culture of working with legal sources, the development of interest in scientific activity and awareness of the importance of continuous professional self-improvement of future lawyers.
