Cadets of the faculty of training specialists for pre-trial investigation bodies of the National Police of Ukraine of DSUIA took part in a class on the basis of the Dnipropetrovsk Scientific-Research Institute of Forensic Examinations of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
The event was organized by the department of criminalistics and pre-medical training of DSUIA.
During the visit, the cadets familiarized themselves with the peculiarities of the activity of the forensic expert institution, the main directions of the work of specialists and the practical aspects of conducting forensic examinations. Representatives of the institute shared their knowledge and experience with the future investigators: the acting head of the laboratory of military research Serhii Hulidov, the acting head of the laboratory of psychological, linguistic and other types of research Iryna Nazarova and the senior forensic expert of the laboratory of handwriting research and technical examination of documents Dmytro Us.
The academic secretary of the institute Svitlana Poliakova focused attention on the application of modern approaches in forensic expert activity and the significance of expert conclusions in the process of establishing the circumstances of a criminal offense.
The conduct of such classes contributes to the deepening of the professional knowledge of future investigators, the combination of theoretical training with practical experience and the formation of a thorough understanding of the role of forensic examination in ensuring justice.
