DSUIA students and сadets are invited to participate in the Fourth Hackathon on Integrity Building and Corruption Prevention in Ukraine’s Security and Defence Sector, held to mark International Anti-Corruption Day. The event will take place online from November 16 to 27, 2026.
Cadets and students from military and civilian higher education institutions and professional pre-higher education institutions across Ukraine are invited to participate. Applicants should demonstrate active civic engagement and have ideas in the fields of IT, integrity building, and corruption prevention.
Participants will have the opportunity to propose innovative approaches, architectural concepts, and software solutions aimed at improving the effectiveness of the integrity-building system in Ukraine’s security and defence sector.
The event is organised by the Scientific Centre for Integrity Building and Corruption Prevention in the Security and Defence Sector of the National Defence University of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Department for Corruption Prevention and Detection of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
The hackathon is supported by the NATO Building Integrity Programme, the Centre for Integrity in the Defence Sector (CIDS) under the Norwegian Ministry of Defence, and the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance (DCAF).
Participants may register individually or in teams of up to five people. To register, applicants must complete the online form and wait for confirmation by email.
After registering, participants will receive information about the hackathon tasks, team procedures, mentoring support, and the requirements for submitting and evaluating their solutions. An online organisational meeting will also be held for registered participants.
The final stage of the hackathon will take place on December 2, 2026. Participants will present their projects, and the jury will evaluate the results and select the winners. The creators of the best solutions will receive gifts from the event’s partners.
Registered participants will be informed separately about the venue, time, and format of the final event.
