Cadets of the first year of the faculty of training specialists for pre-trial investigation bodies of the National Police of Ukraine and the faculty of training specialists for units of criminal police of the National Police of Ukraine took part in the event.
The event was organized by the head of the department of social and humanitarian work of DSUIA, police lieutenant colonel Nataliia Karnaukh. Military veteran Stanislav Savchenko, inspector of the sports team of DSUIA, veteran Viacheslav Lisenko and assistant to the rector of DSUIA for work with veterans Oleksandr Hryshchuk joined the communication with the first-year students.

The veterans shared their own combat experience, spoke about undergoing military service, the trials they had to endure, and returning to peaceful life. The first-year students actively asked questions, were interested in the life path of the defenders and learned more about their experience.

Special attention during the meeting was paid to the support of veterans after returning from military service. The employment of veterans is one of the important directions of DSUIA’s activity, which is especially relevant in the current conditions. Involving defenders in work at the university makes it possible to apply their experience, promote professional realization and facilitate adaptation to civilian life.

The meeting became an occasion for future law enforcement officers to communicate with veterans, to more deeply realize the price of courage and self-sacrifice of the defenders of Ukraine, as well as to see the importance of public support for those who stood up for the defense of the state.
Such events contribute to the national-patriotic education of youth, the formation of respect for veterans and the affirmation of the principles of gratitude, responsibility and support for the defenders of Ukraine.
