The guest was Serhii Didyk, a lieutenant who served in the 12th Special Purpose Brigade “Azov” of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine and now serves as a course supervisor at the DSUIA Educational and Research Institute of Law Enforcement Activities of the National Police of Ukraine.

A meeting with the military veteran was organised for trainees of the DSUIA Police Academy Special Training Centre as part of national-patriotic education and to mark the Day of the Liberation of Ukraine from Nazi Invaders.

During the meeting, he spoke about his path to military service following the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, his participation in combat operations, and his experience defending Ukraine. Particular attention was paid to the importance of patriotism, personal responsibility, courage, and readiness to defend the state.

The discussion gave the trainees an opportunity to hear a serviceman’s personal story, ask questions, and gain a deeper understanding of the price of Ukraine’s freedom and independence.

Such activities promote national-patriotic education among young people, foster respect for Ukraine’s defenders, help preserve historical memory, and reinforce an understanding of the importance of serving the Ukrainian people.
