DSUIA Police Academy Trainees Learn About the Work of the Criminal Investigation Department

NEWS

A joint training session involving a representative of a National Police operational unit was held for trainees from Groups 3/26 and 4/26 of the Special Professional Training Centre “Police Academy” at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.

The session featured Police Major Maryna Tyshchenko, Senior Operative Officer of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region.

During the meeting, she introduced the trainees to the work of criminal investigation units, the specifics of operational and service-related tasks, and the professional training requirements for officers working in this field. The participation of an experienced practitioner enriched the learning material with examples from actual police work and provided a better understanding of the day-to-day activities of operational units.

Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of solid professional knowledge, practical skills and professional judgement required to combat crime. The session also provided an opportunity for open discussion and questions.

Involving representatives of operational units in the educational process helps bridge theoretical training with the practical demands of police service. This approach contributes to developing the professional competencies of future law enforcement officers and preparing them to carry out their duties effectively.
