During the session, cadets were introduced to modern analytical tools developed by Ukrainian companies Artellence and YouControl, which are used to search, verify and process information.

Second-year cadets of the Faculty for Training Specialists for National Police Criminal Police Units explored Artellence technological solutions, which combine artificial intelligence, Big Data and Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) capabilities. They examined how these tools can be used to analyse large volumes of publicly available data, investigate digital footprints, process information from social media and identify connections between individuals and other entities. Particular attention was paid to the automated analysis of texts and images, as well as the visualisation of analytical findings.

The session also featured the YouControl analytical system, designed to verify information about legal entities and individual entrepreneurs. Its functionality enables users to examine company ownership structures, information about executives and founders, litigation history, links between business entities and other data obtained from official sources. These capabilities are particularly valuable for identifying potential risks, verifying information and establishing connections as part of analytical investigations.

The elective session enabled cadets to deepen their understanding of modern approaches to criminal intelligence analysis and gain insight into how digital tools are integrated into law enforcement activities. Familiarity with these technologies will help develop practical competencies essential for supporting investigations through analytical work, identifying criminal connections and making well-informed professional decisions.
