On the Kruty Heroes Memorial Day over 180 cadets of Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs paid tribute to this tragic date in the Ukrainian history. The meeting was held online via ZOOM with respecting all due sanitary norms.
Yana Lazareva, the second year student of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units, was an author and organizer of the event.
Future police officer decided to emphasize the meaning of this tragedy for Ukrainian nation and conducted ZOOM conference on the topic. She told her peers about Kruty heroes and their legendary deed.
The cadet stated that Kruty fight on 29 January 1918 roused Ukrainian people.
“That event has forever engraved in our memory and history books. My principle motivation was to at least partially communicate the modern society the meaning of this feat. Even going to the place of execution young guys were singing the Ukrainian anthem. We cannot forget it!” Yana claimed.
During the event DSUIA cadets not only recalled historical events of that day, but also read the poems of famous Ukrainian poets devoted to Kruty Heroes.
