The Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) South Caucasus office in cooperation with the Caucasus Research and Resource Center Georgia (CRRC-Georgia) is announcing call for applications for young researchers from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine who would like to expand their research capabilities and obtain internship perspective at the CRRC-Georgia.

The course will be held in ENGLISH.

The aim of this online training course is to familiarize participants with qualitative and quantitative research designs and to create a network of qualified, young research professionals from the Eastern Partnership Countries.

The course objectives include:

– Providing theoretical and practical knowledge of the steps in carrying out research;

– Enabling an understanding of various quantitative and qualitative research methods and their application;

– Teaching ability to analyze data gathered with quantitative or qualitative methods.

The training sessions will be equally practical and theoretical and participants will have the opportunity to employ what they have learned through interactive exercises and assignments.

The course will start in the last from 28 September to 16 November, 2021. There are 15 topics to be covered in the course. Each session will be dedicated to one thematic area/topic. The duration of each session is 2 hours. The course will last 30 hours.

Eligibility criteria for the online training:

– Applicants should be citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova or Ukraine;

– Should have excellent English language skills;

– Applicants must have a strong interest and some background in social science research;

– Should hold at least a bachelor’s degree in social sciences or another relevant discipline;

– Should be familiar with Microsoft Office programs;

– Knowledge of statistical programs such as SPSS, Stata or R is desirable;

– Should be willing to commit 30 Hours in total/15 Sessions (in the period from September to November 2021) for the online training program.
