Conflicts in Law Enforcement: New Training Cycle for DSUIA Cadets

NEWS

The Psychological Support Department has organized a series of training sessions for cadets on the topic of “Conflicts as an Integral Component of Communication.”

The purpose of these sessions is to teach students how to prevent and resolve conflicts in law enforcement activities.

During the sessions, the negative and positive consequences of conflicts were discussed, along with the main types and traits of conflict-prone individuals, the different kinds of conflicts, key behavioral strategies in conflict situations, and principles of conflict prevention. Interactive exercises, which are part of the training, also help reinforce the knowledge acquired in practice.

The training aims to develop in cadets the skills of conscious analysis of conflict situations and the selection of optimal behavioral strategies, which will aid in their future professional and service activities.

Psychologist Vladyslav Bidniak from DSUIA notes that the acquired knowledge is one of the key factors for future professional success, as conflict is an integral component of police work. This will help cadets resolve conflict situations with greater success not only in their professional but also in their personal lives, thereby enhancing overall life satisfaction, productivity, and resilience of future police officers.
