Students from the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Training of Specialists for Units of the National Police visited a series of open court sessions on criminal appeal hearings by panels of judges at the Dnipro Court of Appeal.
The event was organized by Professor Victoria Rogalska from the Department of Criminal Procedure and Strategic Investigations with the aim of familiarizing the students with the activities of the Dnipro Court of Appeal and deepening their theoretical knowledge of criminal procedural aspects in the appeal court within the framework of studying the discipline “Criminal Procedure.”
The cadets had the opportunity to directly observe the procedural process of considering appeals against decisions made by courts of first instance. Additionally, the students engaged in discussions with judges from the Dnipro Court of Appeal after the court sessions.
These practical sessions help students better understand theoretical material and prepare more effectively for their professional duties, taking into account relevant judicial practice during investigative activities.
